The artist J Perez is from San Martín Tilcajete, which is a town/municipality located about 14 miles from the city of Oaxaca, in the state of Oaxaca, in the south of Mexico.

What is an Alebrije? They originated in Mexico City in the 20th century, in 1936. An artist had a fever dream of various animals combined into weird and imaginative shapes. They are treasured and highly collectible!
