Here is a vintage yarn-tied quilt in the Grandmother's Fan pattern with some crazy quilt-type stitching. It measures about 84 by 70 inches. The blocks are about 14 inches square. I think it is probably from the 1940s. This is a very thick, heavy quilt that would be perfect for a rustic cabin. It has a flannel backing.
I don't see any holes or stains on this. There are a couple of small stitching scribbles (see photo), like the seamstress was reinforcing a flawed place in the fabric (it doesn't go all the way through).
