Stunning set of four antique cut crystal champagne Coupes from one of France's prestigious manufacturers.
These are unmarked and there seems to be some debate as to who produced them; Val St. Lambert, Baccarat, or St. Louis. My research has me strongly leaning towards St. Louis, and almost certain they are not Baccarat.
Produced near the end of the Edwardian era and the beginning of the American Brilliant Period, likely somewhere between 1860 and 1880. These coupes feature a lovely diamond cut on the bottom half of the glass that provides plenty of grip and an amazing feel to the hand. The stem has flared cuts the the bowl and base with little hatches from top to bottom on the corners.
One of these cups has a little spot that almost looks like it's wheel etched on accident, may have happened during production. (See last photo) There are internal bubbles throughout the glass, as is typical with blown glass from this period. These glasses are all shiny and clear with no chips or damage I
