This timeless pattern presents a cobalt blue Asian design on cream colored background. It is crisp and clear and tells the story of two lovers turned to doves. It is classic with a traditional feel. It is said that the pattern was copied from Chinese pottery that was being imported into England beginning in the late 1700s. The plates are in nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing, or stains. There may be some slight utensil marks that can be seen up close and if the light is just right and glaze bumps typical of the manufacturing process.
